What is Timeline Therapy?TimeLine Therapy is a coaching technique and treatment used in session that allows you to release negative emotions (like fear, anger, guilt) and limiting beliefs (feeling not good enough) that are linked to past experiences that have negatively affected you.
What most people do not realise is that your present moment experience of anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or trigger responses, bad habits and behaviours are based on your core belief system and memories from the past - occurances in childhood or adolescence. The mind faithfully stores everything that has ever happened to you (both good and bad) in the unconsious part of your mind. Then it uses these moments and incidents as filters for how you see and experience the world now. |
Timeline Therapy allows you to find freedom from these past events that act like boulders and are keeping you feeling stuck, lost or unable to move forward and create great change in your life.
In the case of anxiety - it is likely that a past experience of fear has been stored within the body and the mind. Without resolution this fear continues to run a program on auto pilot in the background assessing and looking for threats. Triggering your body's alarm system whenever the control centre of the brain senses danger. But often the danger is senses is just worried thoughts circling the mind about future events and worst case scnearios. Timeline Therapy is transformational for healing anxiety as we go to the root cause, the source of what is triggering your body 's alarm system, and release the negative feeling attached to that stored experience for good.
The goal of Timeline Therapy is not to recover the memories and sit within or relive them, and we do not analyse the content explicitly that has affected you. The goal is to bring the moment into conscious awareness, release the negative emotion or limiting belief attached to that moment, while preserving the positive learnings now looking at it with adult eyes.

Janel will take you on a journey of self discovery, exploring your identity, what you really want out of your life, and help you to look at the areas of your life where you hold fear and limitations that create challenges and obstacles. Coaching will help you to gain clarity and insight on the past, shift habits and become more present.
A Mindset Coach is a teacher.
Each week you will learn tools, techniques and mindfulness practices to help create shifts and habit changes within your life. Janel's coaching comes from real life experience, it's philosophical and soulful. Janel's work is action-orientated, you'll have a set program each week that keeps you moving forward towards your goal within the time frame.
A Mindset Coach is an accountability person.
Your results are 100% up to you. You will be expected to do the work, use the tools, and apply what you have learned. Incredible outcomes are possible and Janel will be your biggest cheerleader every step of the way!
A Mindset Coach has walked the road before you.
Although your story and background may be different to Janel, there is no doubt as women on this journey of life you've have felt similar thoughts, feelings and emotions OR experienced similar challenges and obstacles. Janel's story of hitting rock bottom, battling burnout from imposter syndrome, extreme prolonged stress, and high functioning anxiety have been the catalyst to rebuild her mindset and her life. All of the knowledge and tools shared with you comes from Janel's personal experience and application of NLP, TimeLine Therapy and mindfulness practices.
A Mindset Coach is not a trained Mental Health Professional.
Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist etc, are best to treat conditions like mental illness and disorders, addictions, process trauma or PTSD. A Coach is not equipped to treat or diagnose mental health conditions (or any conditions!). Women with serious anxiety (GAD, Panic Disorder etc), or who are dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts, or happen to be in an emotional crisis typically find more comfort in therapy and Janel would recommend you seek help from a mental health practitioner.
Both Coaching and Therapy can have a place in your life and provide incredible results!
Janel often works with clients who have previously worked with a therapist for trauma or anxiety issues, and they are ready to take the next step. Janel also has clients who want to work with me AND continue to see a therapist at the same time. Sometimes it takes a village of incredible support to help you achieve the results you are looking for in life - and that is more than OK!
