Download your free Meditations hereMeditation was a game changer for my mindset and mental health when I started practicing daily in 2017.
I realised there was not one moment of my day where I was still, or at peace with my thoughts. As soon as my eye's opened I was reacting and responding to everyone around me. Expending energy without ever replenishing. It never dawned on me that I had the ability to prime my mind for a GOOD day until I joined a 7-day Mindset Reset challenge. |

Note for beginners. How to get started
The concept of meditation can sometimes feel daunting for beginners. How, and where, do I do it? How can I make sure I get the most benefit? How should I sit? Am I even doing it right?
A confused mind will always say NO and will resist, even if you have the best intention to start a new habit! Here are my top tips for helping you get started:
1. There is no right or wrong way to meditate.
The first few times (sometimes longer) you sit in meditation may feel a little awkward or clunky. You might not get through the entire meditation. That's ok, just stay as long as you can!
2. Start with a short 3-7 guided meditation with music.
I promise it will be much more enjoyable than attempting to meditate in total silence, while your mind throws thoughts at you! You'll have something to focus on more easily.
3. The aim of meditation is not to PUSH AWAY or DENY your thoughts.
It's about becoming the observer of your thoughts. Your thoughts will no doubt arise to distract you, as they always do - so practice refocusing your attention back to the audio with the simple intention of letting the thoughts go.
4. Get comfortable!
Find a chair, couch or seated space with pillows and a blanket where you'll be able to fully relax. Not need to sit cross legged on the floor, unless that is comfortable for you!
5. Keep a journal or notebook nearby
I often get my most creative ideas during meditation, you might want to write down any thoughts or ideas that come to you once you finish.
