What are Negative Emotions

Emotions guide our lives in many different way.  Feeling a slightly emotional about a situation or event is normal and  important in life. Emotions give us some guidance and direction. They help us to determine right from wrong and allows us the ability to improve where we’ve made mistakes.

However, those little emotions can build up – specifically if there is an underlying "negative emotional feeling" that is unresolved from a past experience or circumstance. Often we don’t want to deal with the emotion or we cannot understand it at the time. We then push the emotion down, THEN the intensity builds up. Until that underlying emotion (you didn’t want to deal with) boils over and starts to effect other areas of your life negatively.

Negative Emotions look and feel like:
  • Flying off the handle at the smallest thing, seemingly unrelated
  • An outburst of emotion that hasn’t been warranted
  • Bursting into tears for no apparent reason
  • Exploding at your kids without warrant
  • Being crippled by worry, guilt or fear, without being able to understand why
  • Overwhelmed by sadness without logical reason

Negative emotions aren’t always seen or felt as crazy uncontrolled outbursts, instead they can show up as a general inability to ‘cope’ with life.

In my mentoring program I work with you to explore the root cause of the problem, then using a technique called Time Line Therapy we release all of the major negative emotion (anger, sadness, fear, hurt, and guilt).  So that you are no longer effected by that underlying negativity of that emotion in your response to situations that happen in the future.

POSITIVE OUTCOME: A happy, more balanced life with normal and healthy emotional responses.
