Relieving Stress & Anxiety

There is no doubt that stress and anxiety affects our thoughts, feelings, behaviours and the body in many ways.

Prolonged periods of major stress and anxiety can lower our energy and immune system as well as contribute to many health problems, including weight gain, heart disease, and even diabetes. 
It can cause us headaches, digestion issues, nausea, body aches, muscle tension and even pain. 

We often believe that our stress and anxiety comes only from external factors - our workload, relationship conflict, or family issues.

​Thinking "if only my workload would lessen I would not be so anxious" or "if only he would do (X) then I would be happy", or "If I only my family would give me a break I would not be so stressed out".

If you've ever tried to solve your stress issues by changing jobs or starting a new relationship, or have that well deserved break from your family... you'll know that everything is good for a while. But, somehow a few months later that stress and anxiety starts creeping back in. Here's why...

The root cause of our stress and anxiety is an INTERNAL problem too, not just from our external environment. That's why changing things on the outside isn't always a long term fix.

Our stress comes from the issues we create ourselves in our own mind, from our negative thoughts and fear-based thinking.

Anxiety at it's core is the body's response to fear-based thinking, typically about something happening in the future.
