In 2013, after a panicked tearful call to Beyond Blue I realised I had nothing left to give to the worry beast. I had been living my entire life with high functioning anxiety.
It was just after my son was born, motherhood had me feeling completely out of my depth. My fear of "failing", perfectionism and negative self-talk had become debilitating. I could not stop my mind running in loops of worst case scenario planning. Previously, I was the queen of overthinking. I built a successful 15yr corporate career PUSHING through my fears. It was my job to fix, manage and control situations. I'm a go getter, high achiever, planner and perfectionist. This time though I could no longer PUSH through. My overthinking brought me to my knees, and it was just the beginning of my awakening to anxiety. |
After battling it on my own for years, thankfully in 2017 my journey lead me to mindset coaching where I experienced the transformational effects of TimeLine Therapy & NLP. This was the catalyst that helped me to OVERCOME my fears, triggering my body's anxiety alarm system and change my life. How will the program run?
In the first sessions of our program we will get to know each other as I share theory and personal insights while we do a deep dive into anxiety. You'll be introduced to new mindfulness habits as we look to reduce your external stress. I'll give you a deeper understanding of how the mind works while exploring the fears and worry that keep showing up for you. This knowledge is to help guide you before we gently move into a series of transformational Timeline Therapy sessions to release and reprogram your mind and heal your body from the 1-2 key fears triggering your anxiety. We finish off the program with an empowering anxiety relief technique!
What is the time commitment between sessions?
This program is what we call an "intensive" and has been set up to run in weekly sessions. We are ripping the bandaid off the old and creating new transformational change. The concepts and positive learnings we talk about in session are BIG and life changing(!), but will need extra space inbetween sessions for you to practice and implement what you learn. Week one is all about resetting habits incorporating mindfulness into your daily life for more peace, calm and clarity. Following from there your homework tasks each week will require at least an hour per week, all depending how deep you would like to take the assignment. The choice is always yours.
Is there any pre-work?
Once we've had our initial discovery call to get to know each other and your program is confirmed, we will book in your first session. Then you will be sent a series of onboarding forms and a questionnaire to complete and return within 24-48hours of our first session. There is no other pre-work required. Other than that, please bring to each sessions an open mind, ready to learn and grow!
Beyond Blue's research tells us that 1 in 3 women will experience anxiety during their lifetime. Please know that you are not alone and if your thoughts ever become overbearing - urgent help is always available.
Note: People in emotional crisis or dealing with mental illness, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), or PTSD often find more comfort in therapy than coaching. If your anxiety relates to any type of trauma that you have not worked with a medical professional or psychologist yet, then the suggestion would be to speak with your GP and obtain a referral as your first step. As an NLP Certified Mindset Coach I am not trained to treat illness or addictions, and I do not prescribe medication. I work best with women who have explored and worked through trauma previously, and women who are ready for coaching to shift old patterns, beliefs, and fears triggering anxiety with 100% focus on action to move you forward.
