What is Anxiety?

  • Anxiety is essentially a signal from our body's internal alarm system
  • This alarm goes off like a smoke detector anytime it senses danger or a threat 
  • Perhaps you are thinking about the work day ahead, or all the deadlines this week, or an upcoming health appointment... and all the sudden you are filled with ANXIETY. "What IF ...".
  • You see, your body has sensed fear, worry and danger but it doesn't understand whether your thoughts are about a real life danger, or a perceived danger.
  • Either way it senses fear and raises the alarm, so in order to relieve our own anxiety we then need to learn ways to calm the mind and body and reset our internal alarm system

Janel Briggs is a Mindset & Identity Coach, NLP Clinical Coach, and TimeLine Therapy® Practitioner with over eight years of experience helping women navigate major life transitions, burnout, anxiety, and identity loss.

​Having coached 500+ women across Australia, Singapore, Dubai, the UK, and now the USA, Janel blends neuroscience-based mindset tools with identity work to help women rediscover their spark and feel like themselves again.

She is also the founder of the Expat Women’s Collective and the creator of the Rediscover Your Spark coaching program.
